What you'll learn
Getting a loan
Hear about the various loan products that may be available to you and why not all loan types—and lenders—are created equal. We’ll go over downpayment assistance programs and what you need to know about your credit. This section is taught by an experienced mortgage broker.
Getting into contract on your home
Learn about the dos and don’ts when searching for your home and making an offer. Aaron will teach you about mistakes that homebuyers often make and how to successfully navigate a competitive market to get into contract.
What happens before you get your keys
The homebuying process doesn’t end when you get into contract. Learn about what comes next, and how to make sure your real estate purchase remains on track before you receive your keys.

Frequently asked questions
Our seminars are five hours, split into two sections (lending and real estate). The Washington State Housing Finance Commission requires homebuyer education to be five hours for participants to receive a certificate for downpayment assistance programs. Don’t worry—there will be breaks.
All our seminars are currently delivered via a live Zoom meeting. There will be lots of opportunities to ask questions during and after the seminar.
We are exploring options for adding in-person seminars to the schedule. If you’re interested in attending an in-person seminar, sign up for our email list and we’ll let you know when they are scheduled.
We encourage anyone who will be signing the contracts to register for this seminar. So if you’re buying a home with a spouse or partner, we advise both of you to attend.
Absolutely not. Our instructors believe in home ownership and donate their time to share this education with prospective buyers. Sales pitches are not allowed in the seminar.
This is a 100% no-obligation seminar. But if you like what you learn, you can hire either or both of your instructors.
We understand that things come up and you may not be able to attend a class after you’ve registered. If that’s the case, we just ask that you notify us and we’ll work with you to get you rescheduled for another seminar.
If we don’t meet the minimum number of registrants for a seminar, or if illness or an emergency arises, we may reschedule the seminar. If that happens, we’ll be in touch with you and get you rescheduled for another session.
